What we did…
We removed the cement cast, mantel and plaster. To tie the fireplace into the kitchen, the same aged brick was used. The fireplace a more dominant presence in the room by running the brick from floor to ceiling, including the hearth. To further tie the room to the kitchen, a matching beam was used for the mantel. We even hid an electrical outlet in the top of the mantel.
Features…
Aged brick veneer, kitchen beam used for fireplace mantel and hidden electrical.
